3-16-15 / Seize The Fat One ...

This morning after my workout i was thinking about robin hood (the Disney one) and that line Seize the Fat One ... popped into my head and it made me laugh. Hopefully it makes you laugh too!

Anyways, this week was great. Thankfully Elder A knows all the people we teach because I still don't know them all by heart but I am trying! So we have been working with a part member family, the G family, and only the mom and the oldest son, D, have been baptized so we are working with the 3 other kids. They are always willing to let us teach them and help them when we can catch them. They are rarely home but when they are we have a good experience. This last lesson we had with them we laid down the law with baptism and making sure they knew that it really is the only way to find happiness. If they read the Book of Mormon and pray to know its true I have no doubt they will be baptized. That's where we are with them. I can tell they have the desire to grow close to God but its hard to change and live a new life after habits have been made. Hopefully we can figure out how to help them!

The next family we have been working with are the Bs. Apparently the missionaries previously here have been working with them for a while so were getting close to the last lessons to teach. We went over baptism and w.o.w yesterday and they seem on board. We are aiming for the goal April 11th. The mom really wants to have an eternal family and she is willing to give up anything to have it. I really look up to her and her willingness to put her kids first. they came to church the other day too and stayed for sacrament so they are on the right path. nice people.

The L family is another family we have been working with. So bro. Ls records were lost and so they say he needs to be re-baptized so were teaching him and his family the lessons again. He has two young kids and a wife that haven't been baptized yet so were trying to help the wife too. His parents are also members but inactive with strong testimonies. (they all live together out in the country) This is really a blessing from Heavenly Father given to them to help them see the need of going to church and doing the simple things. Hopefully they can see it too! They are a wonderful family. Very humble people with a desire to do whats right and to please God. Bro. L is going to be baptized on the 28th of this month. Hopefully his wife will join him!

We have not been able to meet with G very much. I think he might be done with us for now and we might be moving on with faith this next week. Its hard to act on the message but easy to listen.

The people in Texas for the most part are nice people and the sunsets here are incredible id say Tri-cities more detailed sunsets  but Texas wins the award for overall sunset.

Its really started to warm up this week. Its been at least in the 70s everyday which was nice. Yes we are in a car, no biking yet! We cover a huge area!

Something that I have really started to appreciate more is the scriptures. Through study of them I have really come to know what my relationship to Jesus Christ really is. The door of knowledge has been opened and I have gladly gone in. I would really urge all of you to make scripture study THE FIRST priority in your life. It will bless your life with God's light just like it has for me.

The church is true and Christ lives!

Love you all and i hope everyone has an awesome week!
